Bridge Repairs using AquaDam
For bridge repairs AquaDam can be used to divert a water course or to create a de-watered work area. In the photograph below a pair of AquaDams are deployed into a largely stationary body of water to give access to the pier foundations of a bridge. The project was at an historic site and so minimum disruption through swift and flexible installation were important factors.
Longer AquaDams installed in line with the flow of a river to divert water away from the work area. Depending upon the bed river bed a secondary cofferdam may be required to create a de-watered work area.
For shallower water (up to 3ft/90cm) your needs can likely be met from our range of SpeedyDams held in stock.
Linear and 900 connection collars are available to assist in the creation of three sided and longer dams in excess of 25m in length.
